CULOCLEAN
MENSTRUAL CUP
for a zero waste planet!

CuloClean Menstrual Cup is made of high-quality medical grade silicon and is dye, rubber, latex plastics and BPA (bisphenol-A) free to avoid adverse reactions in your body.

While tampons absorb the natural fluids from your vagina and pads can generate smells, the cup respects your body without others noticing that you’re on your period. It is designed to last up to 10 years. Do you know how many tampons you would use in that time? You’d use 2,500 on average!

Additionally, we’ve removed unnecessary packaging and plastics to further contribute to our planet’s preservation.

We know that each woman is different. This is why we offer two different models as well as three different sizes. We know for sure that one of them will suit your needs.

CHOOSING MODEL AND SIZE

HIGO

M size

HIGO cup has been designed for those who require a firm cup that opens easily after its insertion in the vagina. It’s suitable for regular and low cervixes. The stem is straight and has grip rings for easy pulling.

BREVA cup is softer and slightly wider, created for regular and higher cervixes. Its stem is ball-shaped and very easy to grip so that you can remove the cup when you need to change it.

The size of the cup will depend on several factors. We recommend the S size for the first periods, for underage women and women under 20, as well as for small sized women who haven’t had a vaginal delivery.

We recommend the L size for women who have given natural births, who are bigger or taller, over 30 with heavy periods or with a weakened pelvic floor.  This condition may happen after engaging in high impact sports (running, jumping, crossfit, tennis…)

M size cups are recommended for everyone else. Young women who have given birth naturally, women over forty who haven’t given birth or who have a normal or strengthened pelvic floor. Sports like yoga or Pilates can help you strengthen your pelvic floor.

If your periods are heavy, we recommend you change your menstrual cup more regularly instead of buying a bigger cup.

HOW TO USE YOUR MENSTRUAL CUP

Boil the cup for 3-5 min

Follow this instruction before using the cup on each period. You can also boil it after your period ends to store it safely and clean for the rest of the month until the next use.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap

It’s critical that your hands are clean before inserting or removing the cup. Avoid scented soaps.

FOLD THE CUP FOR AN EASY INSERTION

C-shaped fold

INSERT THE CUP IN YOUR VAGINA

You can do it while sitting on the toilet seat or while standing with one foot on a high surface to make it easier. Keep the cup folded while slowly inserting it in your vagina. Aim towards your tailbone until it opens up by itself. You may sometimes hear it pop or feel how it opens.

You can check that it’s open by feeling the cup around with your index finger.

If it’s not fully open or you’re not sure, rotate it by grabbing the base with your fingers.

The stem should then be located by the edge of your vagina. For it to expand properly, you can also push it inwards a bit more and then pull it slightly by the stem until it’s placed correctly.

Enjoy life naturally until it’s time to remove the CuloClean Menstrual Cup. You can leave the cup inside your vagina more or less time depending on your flow, but it should never exceed 12h. The cup might leak a bit the first few times – that’s normal. You may need some time to learn how to use it correctly. We recommend you use some sort of pad or panty liner until this stops happening to avoid staining your underwear.

REMOVE YOUR CULOCLEAN MENSTRUAL CUP

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap. Grab the base of the stem firmly while seating on the toilet or while standing, whichever way you prefer. Pull it out slowly until it’s completely removed and pour its contents in the toilet.

USE THE PORTABLE BIDET TO FEEL CLEANER

Fill up a plastic bottle with lukewarm water and insert your portable bidet. Squeeze the bottle more or less firmly to create a stronger or lighter waterjet as you prefer. You will feel as if you’ve just had a shower whether you’re in a public toilet, at work or camping.

WASH YOUR CUP WITH WARM WATER AND MILD SOAP

Wash your CuloClean Menstrual Cup with lukewarm water and mild soap. We recommend the use of mild, neutral and unscented soaps to maintain the PH of your vagina. Make sure that the little holes at the top of the cup are clean. You may stretch the cup and place the holes right on the waterjet.

Use it as many times as you need until your period ends.
